Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from housing repairs. When I asked which company she was with, she suddenly started chatting about claims. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call supposedly from the council’s housing section. When I asked him to say which council, he paused a bit before confirming my address - even though he had it right there. Tried fishing for info about any repair jobs on council homes nearby. I quickly shut him down by saying I own my house and if he was legit, he’d already know that. Then he hung up.

Told the guy on the phone the “customer service” line wasn’t working and he told me to hang on and try again. When I called back, someone with a similar accent answered. Then the agent said they could ring me from the customer service number if I was worried about where the call was coming from. 🙄
