Got a call saying I’d won 10 EuroMillions tickets after supposedly completing a survey on ukpetrol.com - a site I’ve never come across or visited. They even knew my name and asked for more info to prove it wasn’t a scam. I wasn’t having any of it and told them to take me off their list. They were so insistent, trying hard to convince me they were a real company and that I had indeed filled in the survey. But I kept telling them that wasn’t true. Proper annoying!

I received a call claiming I’d hit the jackpot in an online lottery I supposedly entered. When I told them I was a police officer and requested the company’s information, they abruptly hung up. Quite telling, isn’t it?

Dodgy call, claiming to be from a lottery win or some such nonsense. The line's appalling. Shows up as a London number, but I wouldn't trust it!

I got a call from a lady telling me I’d bagged a free ticket to the EuroMillions and could choose my own numbers. She mentioned that if I didn’t win, I’d get a refund, and I was super lucky. She even knew my name and that I’d registered for an Amazon voucher, but something didn’t sit right. She kept insisting I go for it, which felt a bit odd. While feeding her some numbers, I quickly Googled the number and came across warnings like these, so I just hung up.

This number has been ringing me like mad the last few days, over 15 times! It's starting to feel like harassment. After reading the comments here, I’m done picking up. I'm definitely blocking it and also reporting it because I can’t think of any reason why they’re calling me non stop. Seriously, there must be some way to put a stop to this. Somebody please help!

I recently got a call from this number, which tied back to an online survey I’d begun for Estée Lauder but never completed. They went on about how I’d been entered into a draw happening this Friday and wanted my "lucky numbers." Then they probed about which bank I'd prefer for perhaps receiving my winnings, and asked me for my long card number. At that moment, I decided to draw the line and refused to share any of that information, leading to the abrupt end of the call. Until that point, everything seemed quite legitimate, and I can certainly understand how some folks might fall victim to such a ruse.

Caller claimed his name was Steven, but honestly, he sounded way more like a Ranjit to me. I asked who he really was and then just ended the call.

I filled out a questionnaire on my mobile, and lo and behold, the following day, a woman phoned me up claiming I'd snagged a multitude of entries in a lottery. When she inquired about my bank information, I feigned being unwell and mentioned I'd need to get back to her on that matter. She then queried when would be a suitable time for her to ring again, insisting the inaugural draw was set for the next day. It's safe to say I'm going to block this number, as it's utterly inappropriate for anyone to request bank details over the phone.
