Fraudulent Activity. This morning at approximately 8:30 (12th February 2022), I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Virgin Media Internet Security. They stated that my IP address had been compromised by hackers from multiple countries. 02045250606 called me early this morning at 8am!! I have no idea who it was, it stopped ringing before I could pick up and didn’t leave a voicemail. After seeing what others have said, I’m definitely going to block it now.

Had two calls from this number already. The second one was today at about 7.30 in the morning. Both times I wasn’t close enough to get to the phone before it went to voicemail. No messages left either. Looked up the number on this site and it seems like a scam. [email protected] I’ve blocked it now. Could be a nuisance caller.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT's tech team about some internet issues. He started asking how I was feeling, but I told him I don't talk about my health with random strangers on the phone. He just ended the call after that.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying he was James at Virgin Media, telling me there were issues with my router sending out alert messages. He started to guide me through checking the Event Viewer, trying to show fake errors and warnings - classic scam stuff. Didn’t have the patience to waste, so I just bluntly asked if anyone actually still falls for this and hung up after throwing in a bit of Hindi for fun!
