I initially got the name mixed up and then floundered a bit when I tried to ask him who he was. In the end, he just hung up on me!

Got a call from a woman who wouldn’t say who she was at first. After I asked, she claimed to be from a group assisting people with council or housing association repairs. When she tried to find out if I was waiting on any repairs, I told her she should have asked if I was even a tenant with the council or housing first - which I’m not. She said that was going to be her next question anyway. I ended the call right there because it sounded dodgy, especially since cold calls are meant to be banned now.

I received a call from this number, with the person on the other end stating they were from a 'housing disrepair department' associated with some kind of awareness programme for tenants of local councils or social housing. They asserted it was a government initiative, yet when I inquired about the specific department, they couldn’t provide an answer and abruptly disconnected. This seems like a blatant attempt to scam those who might be more susceptible.
