I was advised that I could potentially receive a grant, but then they mentioned an outdated address of mine. On a follow-up call, they insinuated that I was residing in a rented place with mould issues—totally untrue, since I'm not renting at all. Clearly, this is a scam.

A firm rang us up inquiring whether our rented property had sustained any damage. My husband informed them it was indeed not a rented place, and then they promptly ended the call. It seems they were fishing for us to consider a loan to cover repair costs.

I received a phone call from someone who was posing as part of a pension scheme, insisting that I was eligible for a payout of £3000. When I confronted him about it being a potential scam, he tried to reassure me, claiming he was only trying to provide me with some funds. Pretty fishy, if you ask me! I'm sure what he really wanted was my bank details. Not falling for that one!

Received a call from someone insisting they could assist me in reclaiming £3000 from my pensions. They had the cheek to know my first name and wouldn’t accept my refusal, nor would they agree to take my number off their list. I attempted to ring back on a landline, but it wouldn’t connect at all. I've now blocked the number and reported them.

They claimed I was entitled to a payout of as much as £50k, but when they started elaborating with "what that entails, Mr (first name)," I ended the call without hesitation. It's obviously a dodgy scheme!
