Phone rung but as soon as I picked up, they hung up straight away.

I received a rather dubious call purporting to be from EE, offering me an upgrade on my phone. I find it hard to believe that this is a genuine communication from EE, to be honest...

It appears that this might be a fraudulent operation.

I received a call from someone claiming to be part of Microsoft's tech support, claiming that my computer was riddled with viruses and in dire need of immediate attention. They suggested I let them take remote control to rectify the so-called issues. It was painfully clear that this chap was attempting to pull a fast one on me.

They keep ringing me every day, but since I don't recognise the number, I just ignore it.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from EE, telling me I was eligible for an upgrade. Thing is, I'm not even with them. When he asked for my postcode, presumably for “data protection”, I told him they should already have it since they rang me. Right after that, he just hung up. Felt totally dodgy. Tried calling back, but ended up being sent to some premium rate line, which was worse. I looked up the number and apparently, these scammers pretend to be from all sorts - O2, EE, Microsoft, you name it. Seriously, why aren't the authorities cracking down on these muppets?

Sounds dodgy, probably a scam. I just blocked the number straight away and didn’t bother replying or leaving any messages.
