They rang me saying there’s a special deal on my phone bill, but they didn’t even know my account or any real details, just my number. Feels dodgy to me, so I wouldn’t share anything with them. Definitely looks like a scam.

There was this really strong foreign accent and I barely caught what they said, but somehow they already knew my name.

Got a call from MEH about some life insurance thingy but when I asked which company, he just went silent. I told him I was on speakerphone while driving, and it wasn’t exactly a good moment since there were people around. Still, he kept pushing like I hadn’t said no. Eventually, I told him maybe he should try chatting with my kid instead, she might understand better cause clearly, he wasn’t paying attention to me at all.

Today, I received a call from this number and it was a bloke with a strong Asian accent. He bombarded me with all sorts of intrusive questions about my personal life. After some back and forth, he tried to pitch me what he called a life insurance plan. Naturally, I wasn't interested and politely declined, but then he switched gears and became quite pushy. I didn’t hesitate to hang up on him. It’s got all the hallmarks of a dodgy scam!

Got a call after 7 in the evening, no voicemail left or anything. Legit companies don’t usually do that, so I reckon it’s dodgy. A good way to test is to try ringing them back; if it’s a scammer spoofing the number, you won’t be able to get through. I didn’t even bother calling back on this one - from what I’ve read here, it’s clearly not someone trustworthy.

A woman with a strong accent said she was calling from UK Habit. She already had my address info, even though I hadn’t given it to her. When I asked her where she was calling from, she repeated UK Habit. I told her I’d never come across that company before and then she just ended the call.

Got a call from 020 4520 4969, the person on the line was really hard to follow and said they were from something called UK Habit? They knew my name but kept pushing for more info. I told them straight up I don’t share details on the phone, then I ended the call and blocked the number. Looks like there’s another one, 0151 456 0730, claiming to be the same outfit. Blocked that one too. Feels like some kind of phishing scam.
