I received a call from someone purporting to be from Virgin Media. When I enquired about the number, they suggested I do a quick Google search since it was supposedly one of their own. I reached out to Virgin Media for clarification, only to find out that this number was not associated with them at all. Similarly, the numbers 0161 5202344 and 0161 502342/2391 are also not legitimate Virgin Media contacts. The woman on the line even tried to pitch me a deal on an iPhone 13, claiming they had offers to share. It’s clear these are just scammers, trying their luck!

The caller pretended to represent Virgin Mobile and tried to lure me in with some enticing promise of a 40% discount on my bill. The quality of the connection was dreadful, so I promptly ended the call and added the number to my blocked list. To my amusement, they rang me again straight away using a different number! The woman on the phone was really rude, trying to claim it was a personal call just to reach the director, even saying he told her to call him - which was a total lie. I told her we weren’t interested, but she phoned again, started going on about living in a civilised society, then just hung up on me. If that’s how they treat folks, no surprise they use telemarketing to pitch their business. Honestly, I wouldn’t rely on them to sell sand in the desert, let alone handle my company.
