I received a rather dodgy call from someone who said they were representing Curry's. They wanted me to partake in a phone survey, asking all sorts of nosy questions about the device I’ve got at the moment and various other bits about my phone. Honestly, it was a call I didn’t ask for at all!

some bloke called claiming to be from 3, offering a deal on some android phone but honestly, i couldn’t catch much of it. i decided to humour him and when he asked for my address, i said "0 downing street" and he didn’t even blink. then he wanted to know what job i do, so i told him i’m the prime minister. once he figured out i was having a laugh, he started swearing at me and just hung up. pretty sure it was a scam.

It seems the call was supposedly from 'Currys' regarding some sort of iPhone deal. I decided to terminate the call.

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Currys PC World, attempting to sell me a new vacuum cleaner. I mentioned that I was quite satisfied with the phone I already own, and before I could even finish my thought, he promptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me. Proceed with caution!

I got a call from +44 20 4520 4136 and the guy on the other end claimed he was calling from Currys. He asked me what kind of phone I had, like if it was an iPhone or an Android. When I asked why he needed to know, he just cut the call straight away. Pretty odd!

Had a rather dodgy experience with a bloke from a call centre, who sounded to be Indian. When I probed him about the company he represented and how he ended up with my number, he just cut the line. Clearly, another spammer at work...

I received a rather unexpected call this afternoon from a lady claiming to be from Three, my mobile provider. She informed me that I was eligible for a generous 40% discount on my bill for the upcoming six months! Naturally, I was intrigued and asked her what I needed to do to claim this offer. To my surprise, she responded that she needed me to confirm my memorable security answer to verify my identity. At that point, I was quite hesitant and requested that she send me the details via email instead. However, the email I got was simply a password reset link from Three, which left me rather bewildered. When I mentioned this to her, she insisted that I reset my password temporarily so she could access my account details to proceed with the 'offer.' I firmly told her that would not be happening, instructed her to keep her 'generous' offer, and hung up the phone. What a ridiculous situation!
