Total scam alert. I got a call saying I could get a new phone and a 45% off on my contract. They even knew which network I was with! But after a bit of checking, I discovered the number actually belonged to a bakery in London. Looks like these crooks somehow use other people's phone lines or signals to trick folks. Proper dodgy.

I answered a call only to be greeted with "babe." I promptly requested that he refrain from calling me that and inquired about his identity. He flatly refused to reveal who he was or why he was ringing me, then abruptly ended the call. Quite rude, if you ask me!

I couldn’t spot any reviews for this number anywhere else. Has anyone else dealt with it? Would be great to know if it’s trustworthy or not.

I received a call from someone with an Eastern European accent stating they were from Microsoft. The irony is, I don’t even own a laptop with Windows!

On 15/5/15 my landline rang but there was no sound when I answered. I was expecting unknown numbers from this area, so I used 1471 to check who it was. When I called back, a recorded message said Media Match had called earlier and it wasn’t important, but they’d try again later. Honestly, if it wasn’t important, why bother calling? I looked up Media Match on Google and found it’s a US company that says they don’t do cold calls and that their name might be misused. I’ve reported this annoying silent call to Ofcom and suggest others do the same if they get one.
