4 yearsI received a missed call from this number and thought I'd give it a ring back, but all I got was a recorded message from a telecom firm. A few hours down the line, I thought I’d have another go, and to my surprise, it turned out to be a company named Skylark. Seems pretty dodgy to me! I often enjoy having a bit of fun with these sorts of calls; I figure that the more time I waste their time, the less likely they are to swindle some vulnerable older person out of their money.Skylark4 yearsthis morning i got a call from a quite polite sounding foreign lady asking about my phone contact details. when i explained i was fine with my current plan and not looking for any changes, she just cut me off right in the middle of my sentence. honestly, that was pretty rude so i've just blocked the number now.4 yearsThis number and a bunch that are just the same apart from the last digit kept calling me over and over. Never left a voicemail or anything, so I reckon it's spam and I've just blocked all of them.4 yearsGot a call from 02045203840 but it just rang and then cut off straight away. No chance to respond, so blocked it instantly.4 yearsThey rang me but just dropped the call. After seeing what others said, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.4 yearsAbsolutely a con!4 yearsThey kept insisting I use their service centre even after I'd sent a written note about when I wanted my car fixed. Proper annoying.4 yearsThey keep ringing from numbers that look almost the same and just hang up right when I pick up. It's so annoying!4 yearsThey ring you up and just when you pick up, they cut the call. Definitely scammers.4 yearsIm really getting tired of this. I blocked one number but they just ring from a different one, like maybe just the last four digits are different or summink. They dont seem to stop at all!4 yearsSomebody rang me saying they were from Carphone Warehouse, but I quickly told them I wasn’t interested and they were quite polite about it and ended the call. This is actually the third time they've called me in two days though. The first two calls came from numbers that looked almost the same, and they just hung up as soon as I picked up. Pretty annoying really.Carphone Warehouse4 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be from Currys and PC World, trying to convince me to upgrade my phone plan. They kept asking what kind of smartphone I own. Thing is, I don’t have any dealings with Currys or PC World, and even if I did, surely they’d already know what phone I’m using? Felt really dodgy to me, so watch out for this kind of call.CurrysPC World4 yearsAs many others have pointed out regarding comparable numbers, they all trace back to one individual. That individual being Stuart Wright, residing at 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham B458JF. He has a history of fraud convictions. It’s hardly surprising he’s settled into such a lovely large home; it seems he’s making a tidy living off swindling unsuspecting folks!Stuart WrightPlymouth RoadBarnt GreenBirmingham B458JF4 yearsUseful details. Consider notifying the Information Commissioner’s Office. I received a call just now, but it was nothing but static on the line. I've promptly blocked the number.Information Commissioner4 yearsMake sure to pass these numbers on to the Information Commissioner’s Office. They’ll look into it and, hopefully, take action to penalise and close them down for good. I recently received a call where it was just static on the line. I've since added that number to my block list. Over the past few days, I've been inundated with calls from various dodgy characters. It seems quite apparent that they’re peddling private information, which is against the law. Honestly, the level of petty crime is spiralling in the UK at the moment.Information Commissioner ’ s OfficeUK4 yearsI had a rather peculiar phone call from a woman claiming to represent “ukmobile”. She was pitching a deal for an iPhone 11, boasting unlimited data, calls, and texts, all for a mere £22 per month. The trouble is, I can’t seem to find any legitimate mobile provider by that name. Sounds like a scam to me!4 yearsThe moment I picked up the call, they abruptly disconnected without uttering a word.
