I just received a call from someone purporting to be with Three Mobile, who was pitching an unbelievable deal of unlimited data, calls, and texts for just £6 a month.

Received a call purporting to be from Three, my mobile provider, claiming they could upgrade me to an iPhone 13 Pro with unlimited everything for a mere £40 a month, straight-up and with no initial payment. Naturally, I sought clarification on whether there were absolutely no costs involved, and lo and behold, they mentioned a ‘refundable deposit’ would be taken from my card, promising a refund once the device arrived. Well, I firmly shut that down. The chap tried to placate my worries by stating the call was recorded and that I was safeguarded by GDPR - which I found rather irrelevant - but I stood my ground and told him it was a no-go.
