I told him quite firmly that I was content with my current plan and had no interest in altering my contract. He insisted, "But I’m not changing anything; you’d keep your number." I reiterated my disinterest, and this back-and-forth went on five or six times. Each time, he pressed the issue, and I tried to be polite with my refusals. Eventually, after what felt like an eternity of his persistence, he finally conceded with a curt "Alright, have a nice day," before hanging up.
