Got a phone call from this number claiming I could get £119 back on my washing machine warranty. Definitely sounds like a dodgy scam, so I’m gonna block it straight away.

I've had calls two days running now, both times they wanted me to verify my address and postcode. I refused to confirm anything, told them it must be a mix-up with the bank and they should just sort the refund directly through them instead of wasting time and money on postage. She got really annoyed and ended up slamming the phone down on me. Honestly, I think they deserve a law suit more than anything.

Got a call from 02045204929 claiming I was due a refund on washing machine insurance I never signed up for. They kept pushing for my bank details. When I wouldn't give them, they had the nerve to call me stupid and ignorant! Proper cheeky behaviour.

Got a call from someone named Amanda claiming I was owed £119 back for a washing machine. When I asked for the brand or where it was purchased, she couldn’t provide any details. Seemed a bit fishy to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be my Appliance Insurer, talking about my washing machine. Just like others have said, they said I was due a refund of £119 for washing machine insurance. I told them I don’t even have a washing machine, I just do my washing at the local laundry!

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise but they didn't bother leaving a voicemail. After reading some other reviews, it sounds like it could be one of those scam calls. I've just blocked the number to be safe.

I received a rather odd call from an unidentified gentleman using this number. He didn’t request my name, but went straight into stating that £119.00 had been withdrawn from my account. Then he had the audacity to ask for my bank details! I promptly told him to bugger off before hanging up.

Got a call from a person who spoke with a really thick East Asian accent, talking about our washing machine for some reason. It was a bit hard to understand what they were saying.

A woman with an Asian accent called me saying I had a £119 refund linked to a washing machine. When I asked for a cheque, she kept pushing me for my bank info. I decided to humour her just to run down the clock because I knew it was dodgy. After a bit, I called her out, said I knew it was a con and told her to buzz off. She snapped back with “you go away”. So, I guess that’s one for me.

The caller was well-informed, mentioning my name, address, and even the model of my washing machine while pitching some sort of "warranty reimbursement." I suppose they could have just been taking a shot in the dark, but it felt eerily specific. I decided to hang up at that stage and promptly searched for the number. After reading through a slew of similar encounters on this site, it seems clear to me now that it was a complete scam.

There was a lot of background noise so I couldn’t catch the name the lady caller gave. They mentioned something about a washing machine. I ended the call pretty quick.

I picked up this number and a woman started telling me she was calling from some company about my washing machine insurance. She claimed I’d been overcharged and was owed £119 back. I asked a couple of times what company she was with but couldn’t make it out properly. I do have cover for my appliances but I was certain I hadn’t been charged wrongly, so it felt fishy right away. Then she asked how I wanted the refund and when I said a cheque, she insisted it had to go into a bank account. I told her to just send stuff by post and ended the call. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a call from a woman speaking English really badly, sounded foreign. She mentioned something about a payment that was missed. I couldn’t make out what she was saying, so I just hung up.

Got a call from 02045203540, some bloke called Daniel trying to sell me a washing machine warranty for £119. Thing is, my washing machine's been out of warranty for around 5 years now! They somehow took the money straight from my bank account. Definitely a scam!

Apparently I paid £199 too much on a washing machine, they claimed. With everything going on right now, these scammers are still out here trying to cheat people, it’s just awful.

What a cheek! I received a call from someone claiming they would refund me £119 for a washing machine warranty that I’ve never even taken out. When I pressed them for more information, they simply cut the line! Clearly dodgy behaviour.

Absolutely a con! Similar to what others have mentioned, there’s a refund of £119 that should be processed because of a mistake with my washing machine maintenance agreement.

Got a call from 02045203540 on 4th March ‘22 at about 10:55 in the morning. They were asking for my partner by their first name and then just hung up on me. Bit creepy if you ask me. We recently purchased a washing machine and didn’t get any extra warranty, only registered it for the basic guarantee. After seeing what’s written here, I’m definitely ringing up the guarantee people to check who they’ve shared our info with - I never gave them permission for that.

This morning I got a call from someone with a really English name but speaking with an Asian accent. Got a call from this number yesterday morning, didn't recognise it at all. After seeing what people wrote here, it turns out (no shock) it’s just another scam. The call ended right as it went to voicemail. Had something nearly the same a week back from an 0204 number too - looks like they’re spoofing a bunch of numbers so it’s harder to block ’em.

Got a call from a bloke called "Peter" who sounded Asian. He said I was owed £300 back on my washing machine warranty and asked if I wanted the money sent straight to my bank. Of course, he wanted my account info. No way was I falling for that! I just told him to find a real job because it’s obvious this is a scam.

Today, the 3rd of March 2022, I got a call from 02045203540 at about 3pm. The woman on the line told me I could claim £119 back on my warranty. I was a bit confused since I’ve got no warranty at all, so I asked her about it. But she just went and cut me off straight away.

Got a call from 02045203540 about some credit for home appliances. When I mentioned my phone flagged it as a scam, the lady didn't really care or try to convince me otherwise. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Someone called saying I was owed £119 back on a washing machine insurance. It just didn’t seem legit at all, sounded like a total scam to me.

Beware, it was a scam! Got a call from someone in an Indian call centre saying they were from the "warranty department" and had a refund waiting for me. Total rubbish.

I got a call from an Indian woman saying I was due a refund on my washing machine warranty. When she asked how I wanted it, I told her to send a cheque - I was already pretty sure it was dodgy. Then she passed me over to another Indian woman, who asked for my cheque reference number. She kept saying she wasn’t asking for my bank details or card numbers though. I let her keep going a bit before I told her I knew it was a scam. She just snapped back saying I wouldn’t be getting any cheque and hung up. The amount she mentioned was £119. This was the third time they’d called me.

Got a call from the number 02045203540 about some refund, but honestly, it felt dodgy. They were pushing for my personal info, which seemed really suspicious. Not sure if it's a mobile or landline, but I'd be careful with that number - definitely looks like a scam to me. Don’t hand over any details!

There was a weird pause, then this crackly sound before some muffled voice started trying to sell me insurance for my washing machine. I told them I already got it and just ended the call.

Got a call from an Indian lady claiming I was due a refund on a washing machine warranty - weird thing is, I don’t even have one! She somehow had my name and address though. I wasn’t really in the mood for games, so I nicely told her I wasn’t about to hand over my bank info just to get scammed. Not like me to be so polite but whatever!

Over the last three days I've had about three calls from what I reckon are spoofed numbers - two used the same digits and the other was just slightly different at the end. They keep pushing this bogus warranty refund scam. Honestly, these sorts of calls are just bloody annoying and feel like a proper threat.

So, I got a call about a warranty overcharge of £119 on my washing machine. I decided to humour them and asked for the refund to be sent by cheque - they already had my address anyway. Then she passed me onto some ‘supervisor’, but the background noise in the call stayed exactly the same, sounded like the same call centre. I told him again I wanted a cheque, but he insisted on verifying I was me, which meant he wanted my bank info. I wasn’t having any of it and dropped some less-than-polite French phrases to tell him where to stick it!

Just got a call from 02045203540, some bloke claiming to be with the warranty team. He said I was due a refund over £100. It’s not the first time, I’ve had calls like it before with different stories but all trying to get my bank info. Definitely sounds dodgy to me.

So, I got a call saying they were gonna refund me for paying too much on my washing machine warranty - weird, right? They already had my name and where I live. I told them to just post a cheque, but they kept pushing that I had to give them my bank details first. After a quick chat, the woman on the line basically told me to shove off. Quite a weird experience!

This number rang me twice in the morning, once yesterday and once today. I didn’t pick up today, but yesterday it was just silence when I answered. Both calls came between 8 and 9 in the morning. Honestly, it’s just a bit annoying rather than anything serious.

I received a rather curious call claiming I was owed a refund of £119 for an extended warranty on my washing machine. The thing is, I’ve never even opted for such a warranty! When I mentioned I was recording the conversation, they promptly ended the call. Mission accomplished, if you ask me!

My elderly mum, who’s 80, got a call from 02045203540 saying she owed £90 for some washing machine insurance. She told them she never signed up for anything like that. They then threatened to sue her over the supposed debt. Luckily, she’s quite sharp and told them to “bring it on” if they wanted to take her to court, and said if they wanted to get in touch again, they should do it in writing. After that, she hung up and blocked the number. Seriously, don’t fall for anything from this number. It’s absolutely awful.

It's rather unsettling that the caller from India was aware of both my name and my address. She claimed that I was entitled to a refund concerning the guarantee for my washing machine, which is quite odd since I don't even possess one.

It’s crystal clear that this is nothing but a scam. They had my name and address, which could easily mislead someone. They even tried to lure me in by suggesting a refund for an overpayment on a washing machine.
