Phone number ☎️ 02045194073 👆 is reported as a scam number impersonating O2, attempting to trick recipients into providing one-time codes under the guise of offering fake discounts on mobile bills. Genuine network providers do not request such codes, so callers asking for them should be treated with suspicion. The calls often feature plausible scripts and may seem convincing, but their aim is to gain access to personal or account information. Users are advised not to answer or engage with these calls, and to verify any suspicious contact directly with their mobile provider. If unsure, simply hang up and seek confirmation from the official company to avoid potential fraud.
Reports on phone number 02045194073
3 years1. I received a call purporting to be from O2, claiming they were offering me a reduction on my monthly direct debit payments (which is simply not possible as contracts with your provider are fixed!). 2. To proceed, they requested that I provide a code they supposedly would send to my mobile. 3. Feeling uncertain, I chose to terminate the call. 4. Later, I contacted O2 directly, and they confirmed that they NEVER request codes from customers! KEEP IN MIND: Your mobile provider (like O2, EE, Vodafone, etc.) would never ask for one-off codes because they’re already aware they’re speaking to you. They possess your account information. Scammers, however, can obtain your number and send you messages, but they know nothing about your identity, which is why they ask for codes, account info, or banking details. Stay PROTECTED. If you're in any doubt, simply hang up and reach out to your provider for clarity. If it turns out to be a genuine call after all, you can always ring them back later.EEVodafone3 yearsGot a call but no message was left and they never rang back afterwards.3 yearsI had a couple of attempts from someone trying to coax me into verifying a code they sent my way. Let me tell you, it's definitely a scam! They present themselves as quite credible, so do be cautious.3 yearsWhat a downright con! Honestly, it’s an absolute sham. I’m with O2 myself and got duped into thinking these callers were the real deal because they really had the accents down. However, after a natter with O2 on their live chat, I got it all sorted and promptly reported the number to 7726. I’ve nothing against folks from India-just the ones who pull these dodgy tricks. Whatever you do, steer clear of answering calls from this number!India3 yearsGot a call I couldn't answer.3 yearsI've been receiving some concerning calls from individuals with Indian accents, and they seem to be trying to gain access to my personal accounts. It's quite alarming!3 yearsSo, I received this call claiming to be from O2, touting a 20% discount for loyal customers. They kept rambling on for about quarter of an hour before I finally mentioned that I'm actually with 3 Mobile. As soon as I said that, they just ended the call abruptly! Quite the cheek, really.3 MobileSubmit Your Own Report (020 4519 4073)
