I received a rather dubious call recently, where the individual claimed to be conducting a survey for NS&I. The conversation quickly veered off track into probing about my various accounts. Instead of sticking to the survey theme, it spiralled into inquiries regarding power of attorney, which raised my suspicions significantly. I voiced my discomfort and promptly terminated the call, only to be told I could validate the information with NS&I. At that point, I was convinced this was nothing more than a scam. I live in Leicester, and the call was made to my mobile phone. I definitely recommend blocking and reporting such calls. Cheers, Marc.

They claimed to be from NS and I, but I couldn't shake the feeling it was a con.

This afternoon, I received a call from 02045192428, inquiring after my husband. The chap on the other end stated he was representing NS&I and discussing their offerings. However, the topics they brought up bore no relation to savings or anything financial at all. My husband found himself stuck on the line for a tedious 20 minutes before he decided enough was enough and ended the conversation. It’s worth mentioning, he was rather evasive about who was footing the bill for this call, making me suspect it could have been a reverse charge. I highly recommend ending the call without delay if you encounter this number.
