This number has rung me about 6 times. The initial few times I picked up, but there was just complete silence the whole time. After that, I stopped answering, so it began leaving voicemails. I’ve enabled the Fraud block feature on my phone, and it’s now flagging the number as Possibly Fraudulent. I’ve also turned off my voicemail completely so no messages get through anymore.

I’m currently situated in Malaysia and received a call from this number at precisely 2:33 pm my local time. The chap on the other end introduced himself as Derik, asserting that he had previously emailed me regarding my nomination for some educational programme. To my surprise, he not only mentioned my name but also seemed aware that I’m residing in Malaysia. Quite baffling!

Got a really condescending caller the other day (I accidentally told her my name when I answered and she kept using it way too much!) She claimed I’d ‘expressed interest’ in one of their ‘partner sites’ and asked if I was into financial markets. I told her this was an illegal sales call since I’m signed up with the TPS, but she flat out denied it, saying she was merely ‘presenting an opportunity’. In the end, I had to cut her off mid-chat because she wouldn’t stop calling.

Yeah, I get it, maybe don’t call ’em names, but they just keep going on. I reckon it’s probably not a priority to sort out.
