Got a call from someone who only gave part of her name. The connection was terrible with ages of silence, like it might’ve been coming from abroad, not London. The lady asked if I'd got the info she supposedly sent. I said no, then the call just dropped.

Got a call where the bloke gave his name but it was totally rubbish and hard to catch. I asked him to spell it, and he said something like Statein Co?? Then he went on about investments, which I told him I wasn’t interested in at all. He tried to argue back, saying how could I know I wouldn’t like food I hadn’t tried yet. I told him I won’t eat food if I’m not hungry, and I wasn’t, so he just hung up on me.

Got a call on my mobile around 8.50 but I didnt answer. They didnt leave a voicemail. Looks like others have also said this is a scam call once more.

Total scam! He knew my full name and claimed I’d signed up for some bitcoin trading scheme, then tried to sell me a £200 training course. Told him I’m pretty clued up about online safety and wouldn’t be daft enough to share my info or get involved with stuff like that. He went on and on for ages trying to convince me he was legit, but I just told him to get lost.

I said hello loudly and had the TV on in the background, but they quickly cut the call without making any noise on their side. Seems like they muted themselves or something, maybe because I didn't sound like an easy catch. Just wanted to share my experience!

This guy got really weirded out when I asked him in a weird voice, "What have you got on?" He ended up hanging up on me after that.

Picked up the phone and there was some weird delay with strange noise, right away I knew it was a scam. The caller had a foreign accent and somehow knew my name. ‭020 4513 9992‬ Called me, said it was a London number but the woman barely spoke any English. She claimed I’d signed up for some online trading thing and needed my bank details to verify payments. When I said I never signed up for anything, she insisted I did, saying only I could’ve done it. Most likely someone just gave them my phone number and name. I asked them to prove they had my info right, but they said they couldn’t show me coz it was illegal. Total scam, trying to steal your info. Watch out!

Some bloke rang me up saying I’d signed up for online trading training. I said no way, I never did that. Then he started banging on about GDPR, claiming he wouldn’t have my info unless I’d registered. I told him, do you think I’m daft? I know exactly what I’ve signed up for, and online trading isn’t it. Unsurprisingly, he hung up. Didn’t get to tell him to delete my info from whatever list he’s got, so I just blocked the number.

They have been calling me for three days straight looking for a different person. I told them they had the wrong number and asked them to take my details off their list. She then asked how long I'd had the number, and I told her it was none of her business. When I said I was going to report her, she just said she didn’t care! Ended up blocking them now.

some company rang me tryin to pitch some app so i could earn a bit on the side. first, i spoke with some random bloke, and as soon as i hinted it sounded fishy, he puts me through to a “manager”. i asked where they got my number from, they said it was via some financial ad on google, but i’m pretty sure i never clicked any of those or gave them my full name and number, but apparently “google knows everything or whatever”. they claimed they follow gdpr rules, so i told them politely i wanted all my info deleted from their system. btw, i don’t even live in the uk.

They claimed to be from a financial organisation and said because I entered my info on a site, they had to get in touch. None of that was true, definitely a scam. The woman was really pushy about getting my details. When I asked to be taken off their list, she said I wasn't even on it, then just cut the call. How come these scammers are still able to ring people? What are the phone providers doing to stop all these fraud calls?

Got a call from some company wanting me to buy a financial trading course for £100, claiming I’ll start making cash trading. Sure, like that’s gonna happen! Spend £100 on a course that supposedly lets you trade against big shots like Goldman Sachs and end up losing loads. They wouldn’t take no as an answer. Best to just hang up, they won’t stop blabbering and don’t listen anyway.
