3 yearsI’ve had enough of these dubious calls from Asian numbers. I've flagged one as a scam!3 yearsWhat a complete and utter con! They claimed to have secured a compensation of £2,550 plus an extra £1,550 interest from my so-called bank. When I cheekily mentioned that my bank was the “Bank of Paris,” a fictitious establishment, they appeared none the wiser. They then proceeded to issue me a reference number and an ID, stating that they would never ask for any bank or card information. Instead, they mentioned something about the funds being in a “wallet.” The conversation took a turn when I was transferred to another chap who asked for those referral and ID numbers, which I cleverly misled him with. Flustered, he inquired about my phone number to verify the information. Subsequently, he provided me with different reference numbers, claiming those were indeed the accurate ones. His next tactic was to imply I wasn’t tech-savvy and that he would assist me in accessing this wallet of theirs. Then, he suggested I switch my phone to loudspeaker (which seemed odd) and head over to the Play Store to download an app called Anydesk so he could remotely access my device. Honestly, it’s a shocking attempt to harvest my personal details, banking information, passwords, and whatnot. These rogues must be reported - make sure to inform the authorities about this phishing attempt and notify the Financial Conduct Authority!Bank of ParisPlay StoreAnydeskFinancial Conduct Authority3 yearsWhen I inquired about his identity on two occasions, he refused to disclose who he was. Frankly, I have no interest in conversing with someone who can’t bother to introduce themselves!3 yearsCouldn’t identify the number at all. Let it ring without picking up. Marked it down as spam and promptly blocked.3 yearsIt appears that Magrathea Telecommunications Limited is quite the leading source of nuisance calls. Almost every spammy phone call I've endured in recent months seems to be linked to numbers registered with this company. It's rather frustrating, to say the least!Magrathea Telecommunications LimitedSubmit Your Own Report (020 4502 1631)
