4 yearsGot a call from some Asian number again, seemed dodgy so I flagged it as a scam.4 yearsComplete scam, pretending to sort out PPI compensation from your bank. They claimed I was owed £2550 plus £1550 interest, but when I said my bank was "Bank of Paris" (which isn’t real), they had no clue about it. They gave me some ref and ID numbers, said they never ask for card or bank details, and mentioned the money was in a digital wallet or something. Then an Asian guy took over the call, asked for the same ref and ID numbers, and when I gave him wrong ones, he got confused and asked for my phone number to double-check. He gave me new ref and ID numbers, different from the first ones, and said I wasn’t tech-savvy but he’d help me access this wallet. Next thing he wants me to put the phone on loudspeaker and go to the Play Store to download an app called AnyDesk. This was obviously so he could remotely access my phone to nick all my bank info, passwords, and identity. These fraudsters must be stopped - definitely report to the police and the FCA for phishing!Bank of ParisPlay StoreAnydeskFinancial Conduct Authority4 yearsHe kept refusing to say who he was, even after I asked a couple of times.
