Received a call purporting to be from EE, claiming I'm due for an upgrade. However, I know for certain that I already sorted my upgrade a few weeks back. Definitely seems like a scam-real EE would have that information on file! I wouldn't recommend divulging any personal info. I chose to disengage and promptly ended the call.

I received a call on my EE mobile whilst I was surrounded by the din of a bustling call centre. The callers had pronounced Indian accents and were asserting that they represented Vodafone, attempting to entice me with a phone upgrade. Given that I possess a data-only SIM from Vodafone, they then dangled a tantalising 20% discount in front of me. However, as soon as I strayed from their carefully rehearsed lines, they seemed utterly flummoxed! I've no clue what their angle was.
