1 monthI got a call saying it was from Portsmouth Water, trying to sell me drainage insurance renewal. Problem is, I don't even have that insurance with them. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.Portsmouth Water1 yearI got a call from someone saying they were from a university trying to do a survey. The line was really scratchy and I could barely understand what the person was saying. I hung up but they kept ringing me back like 5 times! I’d just say it’s not worth your time, probably a scam.1 yearI got a call from someone claiming to be based in Europe, saying they were conducting a survey for Stanford University about what it’s like being Muslim living in the UK. They provided this contact email: [email protected]EuropeStanford UniversityUKUS2 yearsThis number just kept ringing non-stop, about 20 times in a row! Pretty sure it's some sort of automated calling system.2 yearsGot a call from someone pretending to be a supplier, but they started asking odd stuff like how long I’ve been at my job and things like that. Seemed a bit sus, so I just didn’t bother replying.2 yearsGot calls from some marketing lot trying to get info about my company. It’s pretty frustrating as they keep phoning insisting on speaking to the manager, which is kinda funny 'cos that’s actually me answering. I’ve told them to just email, but they won’t stop ringing.2 yearsHe claimed he was ringing regarding some forklift maintenance, wanting to ensure all was well after their recent work. Then, he mentioned he needed to chat with either the warehouse manager or the transport manager. Upon informing him that we don't actually have a warehouse, I requested a number for a callback, and lo and behold, he just hung up! How delightful! Naturally, I took it upon myself to return the favour with a voice message.2 yearsAbsolutely appalling! Initially, he claimed to be carrying out some research on home energy, and when I informed him that this is a business, he insisted on speaking to a manager as if I had no right to decline his request. At that juncture, I decided to end the call. However, he had the audacity to ring back, this time presenting himself with a different company name. He spoke down to me, referred to me as "pet", mentioned that the call was being recorded, and then abruptly disconnected. I truly hope that recording exists, "pet".2 yearsWhat a dreadful experience! Initially, the chap claimed he was doing some sort of home energy survey, to which I promptly mentioned this was a business line. He then insisted on speaking to a manager, as if I were completely inept to make decisions. That's when I decided to end the call. However, he had the audacity to ring me back under a different company name, speaking to me in the most patronising way and even referred to me as “love”. He mentioned the call was being recorded before he abruptly disconnected. I sincerely hope they’re keeping a record of that call, “love”.3 yearsReceived a call from them inquiring about our experience with a product we received over a year ago. They seemed quite keen on fishing for bits of information about our business, despite having what they needed or not actually needing it at all. It felt a bit intrusive, to be honest.3 yearsI was keen to gather some insights regarding the company, stuff that was readily available online or in the public domain. However, they insisted on digging deeper for more specific details without clarifying what exactly they were after. To top it off, they weren’t able to send me any information via email either, which left me rather puzzled.Submit Your Own Report (020 3996 1598)
