This number keeps calling me over and over, but when I pick up, they just stay silent and then quickly hang up. Quite annoying really!

I only managed to hear the last bit of this automated call on my voicemail, but it was some kind of robotic voice talking about legal trouble.

I received an automated call from the States stating that there's a legal case lodged against me at my local courthouse, urging me to return their call to avoid further action. It’s quite clear this is a scam, especially since I reside in the UK, and I've heard about this type of con before.

If you peruse the other remarks, you'll notice that HMRC doesn't communicate in American English. I've got an app that handles everything, so best to leave it alone, and for goodness' sake, refrain from returning the call!

I've just had a rather dubious phone call claiming to be from an investigating officer at HMRC, insisting there's a lawsuit looming over me. They wanted me to ring 020 3991 7230 to supposedly halt any proceedings. This is actually the second instance I've received this very same call. To be clear, I urge you, DO NOT RETURN THE CALL as it's clearly a scam! Notably, the number they provided in that robotic American accent doesn’t match the one that called me, which is rather suspicious. On a related note, it’s amusing (or concerning) that I’ve only shared my contact info recently during the UK Census. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

Received a couple of dodgy calls today from an automated American voice, insisting I was being informed about a lawsuit against me. I hung up right away, but they've also seen fit to leave a voicemail. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
