So who’s your phone provider then?” That’s when I told him I knew it was a complete scam and just hung up.

Someone named Ali rang me from this number claiming to be from Tesco Mobile. She said I could get a 30% discount on my phone bill for 6 months starting the next day. Then they suddenly dropped the price to £5 a month. This is the fourth time this week they’ve called with the same story. I keep blocking the number, but they just call back from different numbers, showing different UK cities on my caller ID. Definitely a scam trying to get my bank info. Already reported them to 7726.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 saying I’d got a 30% bill discount for a year. Funny thing is, they couldn’t say how much I’m paying now and wanted my email to “confirm” the discount. I asked to speak to a manager, and apparently there was one standing nearby - then asked for another manager, who was also “right there”. While they kept blabbering, I searched the number online and found out it’s linked to scammers pretending to be O2. So yeah, I just hung up immediately.

I decided to humour them, but then things got nasty - they told me to f**k off and started shouting all sorts of offensive, racist stuff, plus some really crude sexual threats about hurting me. Received a call purporting to be from O2, claiming I could enjoy a 40% reduction on my bill for a duration of eight months. As soon as I expressed my disinterest, a woman with a very pronounced Indian accent "escalated" my call to her supervisor, who was even more challenging to comprehend. It all happened in the blink of an eye! They seemed completely oblivious to either my email address or the amount of my current bill. Whenever I attempted to inquire about their company or the specific department, they simply kept harping on about the alleged savings and pressing for my personal information. To top it off, they casually mentioned that my updated information would be dispatched via DPD British mail by the next day… All of this has a distinct whiff of fraud about it, so I've gone ahead and blocked their number.

I received a call from a woman who had quite a pronounced Indian accent, saying she was from EE and offering me a whopping 40% discount on my bills. Initially, I played along for a minute or so, curious to hear more. However, when she requested my email address for confirmation, I decided to cut the conversation short and hung up. She tried reaching out again, but I promptly blocked the number. Late in the afternoon, I got three calls one after the other. They were quite insistent! After the second one, I decided to check the number on this handy site. When the third call came in, I picked up and spoke to a woman with an Asian accent, told her I saw the number was linked to scams, and she just ended the call right then.

Some bloke called saying he worked for my phone company and that I was gonna get a 30% discount on my bill for the next three months. He wanted me to confirm my email address, but I told him if he’s really from the provider, they’d already have that info. After that, he just hung up.

This number rang me twice today. I picked up the first time and it turned out to be that typical scam mentioned by others here. The caller said I’d been picked to get 20% off my EE bill… sounded like a proper fishing attempt for my personal details so I just hung up straight away.

Got a call from a woman with a heavy accent claiming to be from EE with some offer. I just switched to EE about a fortnight ago, so I ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Three and had a New Year discount offering 30% off my contract. He wanted me to say how much I was paying for calls and texts. I told him if he was really from Three, he’d already have that info and questioned if he was a scammer. Ended the call right there. Can’t stand these annoying calls!
