I searched online for "Garmin Sat Nav update" but when I attempted to update, nothing happened. I then selected the Live Chat option under Garmin Support. The person I spoke to claimed there was an issue with my computer. Later, their "technical team" got in touch and said they could fix it. When I asked about the price, they quoted me £100 plus VAT. I refused. Looking back, the website wasn't actually Garmin's, and the guy on the line, who sounded Asian, wasn’t part of the genuine Garmin tech team.

I’d advise against engaging with these folks; they’re clearly out to swindle you into handing over your hard-earned cash. They’ll attempt to gain remote access to your computer under the guise of a so-called TomTom map upgrade service, but it’s all a ruse to install dodgy software. Best to steer clear!

I registered my printer with HP and then got a call from this number, but they didn’t leave any message. Tried to set up the WiFi for the printer, but now I’m not sure if this was legit, so I just blocked the contact.

Got a call from someone claiming to be an HP tech, saying they needed money to fix my laptop so my printer could connect to wifi. As soon as they started asking for payment, I just hung up. Later I checked with HP directly and they told me this was definitely a scam.
