Early morning, around 8:15, my elderly mum’s home phone rang. She didn’t answer it, but from what she said later, the caller had a noticeable foreign accent and pretended to be from Virgin. Got a call from a woman saying there was some dodgy stuff happening on my broadband. Some bloke claiming to be Virgin called me up, droning on about my internet being slow and all that rubbish. He went on about doing a speed test, saying it was unstable, but honestly, that fluctuates always. Then he tried to get me to download some dodgy software, probably malware. The 0345 one supposedly was Virgin Media asking if I was the account holder, and when I said no, and that it belonged to my mum, the woman on the other end told me to hold on but then just hung up. Got calls from this number two times earlier today and it just rang again a few minutes ago. Every time I pick up, the caller just hangs up straight away. It’s really irritating. I’m gonna block this number now.

Got calls from 02039768289 nonstop. Virgin Media slapped us with a £168 bill for a scam call we didn’t even do. Tried getting help but their staff were really rude and didn’t care about sorting it out. Proper rubbish service, I’m off to switch providers soon.

Got a call from a woman with a strong Indian accent saying she was from Virgin Media and that there was suspicious activity on my internet. It felt off when she suddenly asked how I was doing right in the middle of this "emergency" chat. Pretty clear it was a scam!

Absolutely, it's the same old story with Virgin Media and their tech support. I found myself killing a good ten minutes, sipping tea and concocting responses to their endless queries. "Are the indicators lit up?" they'd ask. I'd reply, "Yes... no... well, yes... no... it's flickering away." Then I requested a number for a callback, and poof! They vanished into thin air. Quite the charade, isn’t it?

I’ve been inundated with calls from this number - just had another at 08:50 on 2nd February 2022. They claim to be contacting me about my Virgin Media account and it’s been going on for over a year and a half now. The moment I mention calling them back or suggest that it’s likely a scam, they promptly disconnect. Quite frustrating, really!

I got a call on my home phone from someone with a strange accent claiming to be from Virgin Media. They said there was an issue with my router and asked how many devices I had connected. Got a call from someone with a really thick Indian accent, and the line kept crackling badly. They claimed to be from Virgin Media. I went along with it for a bit until they said my internet upload speed was really slow. I told them if they were really from Virgin Media, they should know my name. Their response was “if you don’t trust me,” then they just hung up. I looked up the number afterwards and it was actually traced back to Paris. Surely just a scam.

Earlier, I received a call about my internet service. After listening to them ramble on for a bit, I decided to say that I’d ring Virgin myself to verify their authenticity, even though deep down I was already aware they were likely a sham. When I mentioned my suspicions, the caller cheekily queried if I thought they were trying to pull a fast one. I boldly confirmed that I absolutely did. In response, she hurled some unpleasantries my way and promptly cut the line. Quite the experience, I must say!

I let her go on for a bit, but when I asked for my account number she said she couldn't see that info. Then, when I asked her to confirm my address, she just hung up. Pretty obvious scam to me. Typical scam call again, pretending to be from Virgin Media. When I asked them to tell me my own name, they just ended the call because they clearly had no idea. Then I told them I wasn’t even with Virgin, and bam, they hung up straight away. Asked them for my account number next - no surprise, they gave up and dropped the call. I received a call claiming to be from Virgin Media, supposedly to assess my broadband speed. This person asked me to run a speed test on my laptop and inquired about the status lights on my router. As he began instructing me to enter something into my device, I got a bit suspicious-after all, how could I trust a stranger on the phone? I pointed out that my broadband seemed perfectly fine, and just like that, he abruptly ended the call. I’ve got a strong feeling this was just a scam.

These scumbags are always ringing from some 0203 number, pulling a new trick every time. This week it’s some rubbish about Virgin Media, next week who knows what scam they’ll try. If you get a call from an 0203 number claiming to be from a company, don’t believe a word, just hang up. Always look up the official number yourself and call back - never trust numbers they give you. Same goes for websites they mention, just assume it’s all lies and nonsense.
