Got a call from someone claiming to be from the Telegraph Energy Club, trying to get me to switch my electricity to British Gas. The bloke spoke really well, said he was offering some exclusive deal through the club. But when I mentioned his rates were more expensive than my current provider, he just kept going on about how his price was fixed, then out of nowhere, he just ended the call on me! Proper cheeky.

I was in the middle of a phone conversation when this number came through. I did a quick search on this site and, unsurprisingly, it’s just another pesky cold caller. I'm definitely going to block it right away. A mate of mine recently had his laptop taken over for a few hours before he cottoned on to what was happening.
