Today, I received a rather peculiar call from a lady with an unusual accent claiming to be from HMRC. She went on about me being investigated for tax evasion and insisted that I settle my tax dues immediately to avoid jail time. I firmly told her where to go! This is definitely a con!

I received a rather unsettling phone call from a lady who had a thick accent that sounded either Pakistani or Indian. She went on to make quite alarming threats and wrongfully accused me of some tax dodging. It's clear to me that this is just one of those infamous scams that have been going around. Honestly, I can’t imagine anyone falling for such an obvious ruse again.
