I informed them I’d prefer to reach out to SKY myself to verify, and suddenly the line went dead. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Not likely as I only renewed my contract last month with a very competitive deal - there is no way they were offering another 25% off. I did also point out that my work phone, which they called me on, is not the number I have registered with Sky - he said, "I know," and carried on talking!
