Today, 4th June 2024, around 9:43 in the morning, I got a call from these bloody scammers. It was a woman, and I could barely make out what she was saying about some "fake accident" that supposedly happened a few months back. Told her to kindly jog on. This was the third time this number rang me, and it’s definitely not from the UK - looks like a spoof from India or Pakistan. Proper nuisance!

They rang me up, and when I refused to share the date of my accident, they kept pushing me for the month and year. Then this manager joined in, pestering me for the info, but I couldn’t remember exactly and asked if they could email me instead. After that, they just hung up. I tried calling back the number that called me, but it wasn’t recognised. Seems like a total scam, so don’t hand over any info!

Got a call from 020 3959 7670, which seemed like a variation of the number mentioned before. The guy on the phone spoke with a strong accent and claimed to be from Aviva Third Party Accident. I ended up blocking the number right away!

Absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, this reeks of a car accident con. I strung him along on the phone for as long as I could manage, just to kill some of his precious minutes. I even got him to keep repeating his spiel multiple times - just to drag it out further. As others have mentioned, the moment I told him I'd not been involved in any accident, he abruptly ended the call. Looking back, I do regret saying that; I should have concocted a little story instead.
