Got a call from a friendly sounding woman with an Indian accent saying she was ringing from 3. She told me my sim would soon stop working unless I upgraded to 5G and then asked for loads of personal info. Thing is, I’m not with 3 at all and I already use a 5G phone anyway. I just ended the call straight away.

Complete rip-off call. I played along with the bloke for a bit. He claimed to be from Amazon, saying I'd been billed £1000 for a delivery. I told him I live in Germany (I'm part German), but I never mentioned that I actually live in the UK. I asked him to confirm my delivery address, then switched to German, which he said he understood perfectly and confirmed the address was right. What I really said was, “Do they sell sausages at Berlin Cathedral?” What a load of nonsense. I just ended the call after that.

This morning my home phone rang and when I picked up, there was silence for a while before a lady with a foreign accent finally said "hello". It started with a call about renewing my Prime account, then suddenly they claimed my account was suspended because I supposedly tried to purchase an iPhone for £1400. I asked them to tell me which card they'd used since I wasn’t certain, and right after that, the person just ended the call. Watch out for this one - it’s pretty clever, as they don’t immediately demand payment but instead say they're trying to stop some dodgy purchase.
