Got loads of calls from numbers like this one lately, all sound like scammy VOIP lines to me. Definitely dodgy.

+44 20 3953 5797 rang me up claiming to be from Sky. When I mentioned I was only 12, the caller turned creepy and started making inappropriate comments. They even threatened to come round and kept ringing again and again, which felt like harassment. The voice sounded Indian, so I've reported it to the cops.

I usually dont pick up calls from numbers like this but since it was from a place nearby I did this time. Ive blocked loads of calls like this over the past months. They claimed to be from EE and wanted to talk about my contract. Thing is, my EE contract ended and the call kept cutting out so I just hung up. After reading the reviews here, I went ahead and reported that number on the Action Fraud website too.

They called me a couple of times but I didn’t answer. No message was left on the voicemail, so after reading some comments about them, I’ve decided to block the number.

Some bloke rang up pretending to be from Currys, saying I could get 30% off any order. I played along for a bit, but after about 15 minutes of messing about, I told him exactly what I thought of him. He then tried to get my card info to “secure” a next day delivery. Honestly, people like that really get under my skin.

Got a couple of calls from this number yesterday. When I picked up, the person on the other end was pushing me to change to EE broadband. Since I’m already with BT, and EE is actually part of the same group, it felt off that they were acting like they’re totally separate. Plus, the caller didn’t even know my name. Honestly, I reckon this was some dodgy broadband scam.

Blocking just doesn’t work anymore. These scam groups simply ring you back from countless computer-made fake numbers, either local landlines or mobiles. If you really want to fight back, you’ve got to take action and report every scam call you get. The police fraud agency have a system that makes it easy for anyone to flag these dodgy calls. Just search for ‘action fraud’ and visit the official UK police website. Head to the phishing report section and scroll all the way down to fill in a quick report. It’s dead simple and helps loads.

Been getting calls from Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd or whatever they call themselves, always using different phone numbers. From what I can tell, it smells like a scam where they pretend to be your internet provider and try to lure you in with some “great offer.” Looks like they just want your info to pull off some dodgy scheme. Definitely don’t trust ’em!

somebody rang me saying they were from EE and could give me 45% off my bill. They asked if i was happy with my EE service, I said yes but i was annoyed by these random calls from people pretending to be EE trying to sell deals. When I asked which part of EE they were from, the voice sounded like "national department" or something similar. I told them i couldn’t make it out properly and then they said they’d send me an email - i didn’t give them one tho, so if it’s legit EE they must already have my info.
