Got the same HMRC scam call earlier. When you dial with 141 before the number (here in the UK), it hides your caller ID. If they can’t see your number, the scammer usually mutters stuff like “oh no!” or sighs then puts on some music. But if your number shows up, they answer right away. I called back from a colleague's mobile at work - she’s a bit annoying anyway. Bet she’s gettin’ all their calls now. Honestly, this is the best way I've found to use that phone number.
