He said my Sony TV’s warranty ran out yesterday and said it was vital to renew the contract straight away. Then he asked me for my debit card info, saying they'd post me some paperwork after. Seemed clearly like a scam to steal card details or trick me into paying for something dodgy without any proof of what he was saying.
