While my son was doing his online lessons, his laptop suddenly got locked, showing a warning that said he had a virus and needed to ring Microsoft for free on a certain number. It turned out to be a scam. The person on the other end tried to trick me into signing up for some antivirus subscription and even attempted to take money from my bank. Luckily, I only had 14 quid left in my account, and the supposed subscription cost was about 3 quid. The call kept dropping, and then I got another call from the number 01646686681. My phone flagged it as coming from Global Communication Wales, which is supposed to be an IT company. Just a heads up to anyone reading this - be really cautious!

Got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft. Tried to get me to let them remote into my laptop to fix it or something. Definitely a scam!
