I received a rather dubious call from an Indian lady, who appeared to be in an office setting with some background chatter. She declared that I had hit the jackpot with the postcode lottery, a scheme that clearly isn't legitimate. I didn't hold back and launched a tirade, insisting she ought to find a legitimate job rather than scamming innocent folks. What a rotter! Then, to top it off, my wife had a go at me for losing my temper with this shady character.

I explained that I’m a bloke and Anne is a female name, so please don’t mix up my title and name as it’s a bit rude :) She ended the call pretty quick. A woman who sounded similar, named Selsia, used the number 02039416788 before on 12/11/21, and clearly, the dodgy data doesn’t get updated. They obviously ignored the hint last time too! Honestly, these scammers will only stop when the government steps in and just cuts off numbers that keep popping up on sites like this.

He said he was ringing to go over my life insurance and see if I could get a cheaper monthly rate. I asked him when my policy was ending because I thought it was nearly up. He said he wasn’t allowed to discuss the specifics of my policy. Then he just hung up when I questioned how he planned to review anything without talking about the policy!

Got a call from some guy saying he was from Aviva Life Insurance. He already knew my address and started asking what kind of insurance I had with them. When I said I didn’t even know I had any life insurance with them, he just hung up on me.

Hi, it was this guy called Christopher, speaking with a strong Asian accent, which just made me feel it was dodgy right away. He tried to talk me into life insurance. Absolute scammers, the worst kind! Don’t share any details or agree to anything, just hang up.

Some bloke rang asking for my hubby and even knew our last name. I told him he wasn’t in and asked if I could help, but he just cut the call straight away. Not sure any legit firm would behave like that, so seems a bit dodgy to me.

I attempted to ring them back and was met with a rather curt message proclaiming that my call was of utmost importance to them. Apparently, they were going to connect me to the next available representative, or some such nonsense. However, the line cut off shortly thereafter. I tried this twice, with the same result both times!

This number has rung me a bunch of times in the past few days. I thought if I just didn’t answer, they’d get bored and stop trying to SCAM me. It’s not just annoying, it’s seriously dangerous. I wish I could mark it as both, but since only one option is allowed, I’m going with dangerous. Someone needs to get this number blocked right now 🤬

Someone called saying they could get me a credit card and £300 cash. Asked for my bank info but I just said no thanks, not interested.

Whenever there's a pause after I say hello, I get a bit wary. Heard some office sounds in the back, then a guy with an Asian accent finally started talking. I just stayed quiet till he ended the call. After looking it up here, seems like it was a scam.

Someone rang me saying they were from the life insurance firm I use. The only thing that made me suspicious was them calling me by my old surname, which I haven’t used in ages. I started asking questions straight away and then the bloke just hung up on me. They said they wanted to offer me a discount because of the pandemic or something.

They called saying it was a free postcode lottery discount card or something like that. I told them straight away I wasn't interested. After I kept asking a few questions, the woman said she’d just hang up since I wasn’t keen - and then she did. Total scam if you ask me.

My partner answered a call from 02039416789 but didn’t say a word and the line went dead straight away. After seeing what others have said on here, it seems like it’s probably a scam. These sorts of calls are so irritating.
