Got a call from some bloke about my life insurance. He began with all these personal questions and wanted to know about my policy. I told him that since he was calling me, he should already have my info, otherwise it’s just cold calling which is against the law. As soon as I said that, he just ended the call. I’m sick of these calls, they keep coming every single day, even though I keep blocking the numbers.

I finally picked up after it rang for ages, then a voice that sounded foreign came on with what sounded like a noisy call centre behind them, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call claiming it was the Postcode Lottery saying I’d won a freebie. Totally a scam, so I didn’t hold back and gave them a piece of my mind!

Got a call saying I won some sort of discount card or something, then they started asking for the long number on my bank card. I told them straight up that's dodgy and probably illegal. After that, they mentioned a free holiday and said they'd put £1 into my bank account to prove it was legit, so they asked for my sort code and account number. I just told them to jog on and hung up.

They were really pushing this whole lifestyle travel and dining club thing, telling me I’d won a discount card for supermarkets. Then they said since I’m over 60 I qualified for a free holiday for four people. I never gave them any of my bank info, not even my sort code, but they kept ringing back nonstop. I spoke with three different people all trying to convince me it was legit and not some scam. After about 20 minutes of this, they finally hung up. They definitely put in a lot of effort to try and get me.

They rang up saying my postcode had won me a discount card for about 40 to 50% off in shops. I told them if it’s that good, just send it over. Right after that, they said they’d cancel and then just hung up. Pretty sketchy if you ask me.
