I received a phone call claiming that £600 had been withdrawn from my account and transferred abroad. Naturally, I took a moment to verify my account, and everything seems perfectly alright. It’s yet another dodgy call, to be honest. Just best to disregard it altogether!

I recently received a rather unsettling phone call from 020 3931 6046. The chap on the other end was rather forceful, insisting that I power up my computer to address some supposed Windows issues. When I pushed back, threatening to contact the authorities, he turned quite hostile. Personally, I’m not too fussed since I realised it was a scam right away, especially as we don’t even use Windows. However, if my 90-year-old mother had answered-she does have a Windows machine-goodness knows what might have transpired. Be wary of this number, folks; they claim to be from some 'Windows technical department'.

Totally a scam call. They first said there was an issue with my computer but I told them I don't own one, then they mentioned my laptop but again I said I don’t have it. Then they just ended the call. It’s a common trick, they try to get control of your PC to see you logging into your bank stuff.

02039316046 called me saying we had issues with windows, just like lots of other scam calls we keep getting on our landline. I usually reply to them in Welsh and then tell them in bad English that I don’t understand English, it usually confuses them.

They've been ringing me daily for more than a week. Once I pick up, there's this long pause of about five seconds, then a robotic voice just says “bye” and hangs up. Pretty weird.

Fraudulent Microsoft caller - He claimed to be from Microsoft Windows, and I just laughed because as far as I know, an operating system isn’t able to make phone calls (not yet anyway) and then he just ended the call. These scams are really awful.

It took about 4 or 5 seconds just for the call to connect, then some guy claiming to be from support said my PC has some secret error logs on Windows that might cause it to break down. When I told him I'd check the error log on my own, he just cut the call. Don’t trust any advice from this number - if you’re worried about your computer or Windows, get in touch with Microsoft’s official support instead.

This person called me saying there was an issue with my computer - I replied "I don't own a computer". Then she asked, "How about a laptop?" I told her she shouldn’t be making these cold calls as it’s against the law, and that she should feel bad about it. After that, I just ended the call.

What a dodgy phone call that was! I received a rather charming call from an Indian woman claiming to be from the Microsoft Technical Department. She informed me that my Windows 10 was experiencing issues and insisted I sit before my computer. If I was willing, she would take control remotely to assist in clearing out some 'threatening' items that were compromising my security. Of course, she mentioned there'd be a fee involved, which she would need my bank details for. To top it off, she had the audacity to propose a subscription plan lasting a year or more for an additional charge. BEWARE, this is a complete scam! Just hang up and save yourself the trouble!

This number rang me about three times in just one hour. A woman with an Asian accent called and told me my computer was showing an ‘error’ and I needed to be connected to tech support to sort it out?! When I asked what error she meant, she said it was related to my online banking and payment systems!?! I told her I had no issues, but she kept insisting she wasn’t trying to sell anything and that the error had to be fixed ASAP?! I’m definitely blocking this number now, and I appreciate all the other useful info shared here! Look out for yourself and avoid scams, everyone!

Why isn’t this number reported to the cops? I just got a call from them, going on about my computer being at risk. I told the bloke straight up, "You’re a liar, a conman trying to scam me." Then he just hung up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be "Jenney from the Windows Technical team"... obviously a scam since I was at work. Blocked straight away.

Just had a proper strange chat with one of these callers. Told them I’d looked up their number online and it showed up as a scam. They tried to flip it by saying my number was all over the internet as a scam too. I was like, “I only ring mates and family, why would anyone need to google my number?” This bloke didn’t hang up, kept pushing, but eventually kind of owned up that it was a scam and even said I could make good cash if I was interested! Gave him a load of choice words before I finally ended the call.

Received a rather curious call today from a woman with an Indian accent. She started off with, “Do you use the Windows operating system?” Truth be told, I’m a Mac user, but I replied with a “yes” just in case it was a dodgy call. She went on to claim, “We’ve been getting messages from your computer indicating there are issues.” Naturally, I probed further, asking, “What’s the name of your company?” She replied, “Technical Department of Windows.” I inquired about their location, and she answered, “18 Victory Estate.” My next question was, “What’s your company’s phone number?” At that point, she hung up quite abruptly.

Got another call from those Windows Security scam ppl again. If your phone cant block annoying calls (mine can’t) try setting a special ringtone for them. That way, if they ring again, you won’t be in a panic to pick up, or at least you’ll know what to expect.

Someone called, said her name was Lucy and claimed to be from the Windows Tech Support about an issue with my home computer. I told her I don't own any computer or laptop. She just ended the call after that.

Got another dodgy call pretending to be Windows tech support.

I received a rather articulate call from a gentleman who had a bit of an accent - not quite local, if you catch my drift. He claimed to be reaching out about my Windows PC, insisting there were some troublesome emails being dispatched from it. He then prompted me to log in to my system with his guidance. It didn't take long before I realised it was a ruse, and upon my expression of doubt, he promptly disconnected. I’ve since blocked that number out of sheer precaution. As a retiree, I must admit he had a rather convincing manner about him, but thankfully my background overseeing a sizable IT department taught me a thing or two about such scamming tactics.

I've been getting loads of calls from 0203 numbers recently. Whenever they ring, it just beeps and then cuts off. I'm slowly blocking them all. The tricky bit is I can't just block them straight away because our local hospital also uses a 0203 number, and I get a lot of calls from them about appointments. It's annoying because it means I have to check each one, and honestly, it feels like I'm getting more dodgy calls than real ones these days. So frustrating 😠😠😠

He kept babbling on about my computer, so I asked him which one out of the 45 computers I supposedly had. Then I began messing about, asking daft questions. He told me I was wasting his time, to which I replied, “You’re the one who called me first!” 😂🤣 He just ended the call after that. 😂🤣

They've called me twice today, both times it was an Asian man and woman. They claimed they'd sent me something about an issue with my computer. I told them I don't even own one. The first call ended with them hanging up. On the second, the woman insisted I had a computer and that they had my info, refusing to believe me. I asked if the Windows tech team would say the same thing if I called them myself. She quickly ended the call after that.

I answered, and as soon as I said something, the caller just hung up and then blocked the number. Pretty typical scam move.

Had a call claiming to be from Microsoft, saying they could help fix issues on my PC with some links. I was really careful and asked what exactly was wrong with my computer to see if they knew anything. The guy just went quiet, so I told him straight where to shove it. Definitely no personal info given!

Dodgy call, claiming to be from Microsoft. Got calls earlier today from this number and loads more yesterday from another one. They kept going on saying the same stuff, was pretty annoying and they weren’t very polite either. Ended up blocking both numbers.

I kept getting loads of calls from them every day, and quite often they’d just cut me off mid-conversation. When I did catch someone, the guy spoke with a really strong accent. From what I could make out, he was trying to say there was some kind of issue with my Microsoft Windows. The weird part was, they already knew I was using a Macbook. How they got hold of that info, no idea, but definitely felt like a dodgy phishing attempt.

I was behind the wheel when I picked up, but the person just hung up straight away. I had to stop the car and ring them back because I reckoned it might be a client, but turns out the number isn’t real. Definitely block this one as it’s dodgy scammers.

I figured the government was supposed to be cracking down on these scammers and hackers by now. Guess it's just another promise they haven't kept.

Don't share any details with those computer hackers, they're only after your info.
