The caller claimed they were ringing about a car crash I was involved in. I replied, “Oh good, finally my compensation, been waiting ages for it.” Then... nothing, total silence. Just like others have mentioned, it feels like a fishing attempt hoping someone might have an unclaimed accident. I told them I never had an accident and I’m registered with the TPS so they shouldn’t be calling me, then they just hung up. The number looks like a London landline but I reckon it’s from ages ago, maybe from 2006 when I looked into a claim about a fall on some public steps but never chased it. Got a call earlier today from some bloke called Mark Anderson, claiming to be from AMS, accident management services, about an accident I supposedly had (which I have no clue about). He was clearly sticking to a script. I asked him how he got my details and mentioned that he was breaking the new GDPR rules. He just hung up on me. No shock there. The number was blocked but I’m pretty sure I’ll get another call from a similar one soon enough.
