Got a call from some kind of automated voice lady. Crazy stuff. Did I get myself into a crash or what? Can people really be fooled by this? Blocked that number and a bunch like it.

Got a call from some automated voice telling me there’s a warrant out for my arrest over tax fraud. Sounded proper serious and official. They wanted me to press one to speak to an advisor, or they’d send the cops even if I just ended the call! They even used my actual name! I know I’ve not done any of that, so I just dropped the call. That was yesterday and still no police knocking at my door offering me a cuppa!

Had a chat with someone called “Shane”, who started asking about this accident I supposedly had. I just went along with it since I was bored during my break at work. Then he passed me over to “John”, who was talking about some sort of e-cheque I was meant to get by email. I kept pretending to be interested for as long as I could before I finally hung up. Blocked them straight away after.

Got a call about some accident, and a lady passed me to someone else who began talking about a cheque I was supposedly owed. I chose to humour him since they've been ringing me every single day this week. He ended up hanging up after asking if I was driving or stationary during the accident. I told him neither, and he went quiet for a moment, then asked why. I said neither 'cause I wasn’t even in the car. Bit of a laugh if you’re bored and want to waste some time.

The woman didn’t even use my name, just said her name was Charlotte, and then she passed me onto another person with a thick South African accent, who then tried to push me to yet another caller. I just ended up hanging up and blocking the number. But they’ve still phoned me about 10 times after that.

Got a call about some accident. I figured it was probably a scam, so I made up a story and used a daft voice: Me: Hello Them: Hi, blah blah, minor crash, blah insurance stuff. Me: I don’t think it’s minor, he’s actually dead. Them: This is regarding a minor with two cars involved, blah blah. Me: Yeah, two cars alright, but he’s dead. Them: Oh, so it’s serious then. Me: Yep. Them: Right, sorry, bye. I’ll update if they ring again. Maybe if everyone does this, they’ll give up.

Got a call about life insurance, and when I told the bloke to stop contacting me, he just asked why and claimed he wasn’t trying to sell me anything. I said again to take me off their list, but he wouldn’t do it. Plus, he kept calling me ‘love’, which was really annoying!

He said he was calling because he got a file about an accident I had. I said, oh really, I guess you did. Did you find it any interesting? Then he just ended the call! Proper cheeky.

Got a call saying I could get some compensation for an accident. Strange thing is I haven't had any! I played along, saying it just happened this morning. They said they’d transfer me to a supervisor and another bloke got on the line. Both sounded like they had South African accents. I said, well, that’s really fast, I was only let go by the cops an hour ago, and sadly the person I supposedly crashed into has died. Then the guy just went silent and hung up on me. Quite the odd experience!

Got a call from someone in South Africa about claiming for injuries from a car crash. She couldn't give me any info, just said she was checking for details. When I asked her how she got my number, she ended the call straight away.

Got a call about life insurance from a woman with a South African accent. Played along for a bit but they didn’t know my right address or any details about my current policy. Then they sent me to a supervisor who asked more questions and tried to transfer me again. The line kept clicking like it was going overseas. They promised a callback in five minutes, which happened, but this time it was a guy and I just hung up. No calls since. Definitely a scam, don’t trust them or give out any info.

Had to block this number, they said they were from some insurance firm wanting a review. Problem is, I dont even have one with them.

They keep ringin every single day but when you try calling back, it just won’t go through - obviously a scam or summat. Blocking them doesn’t really do the trick either. If you don’t know the number, just don’t pick up or give them a right earful cos there’s no way they’re just “doing their job”. It’s proper annoying, and for older folks or people with disabilities it can be really frightening. These nasty lot should be found and locked up, no doubt about it.

Got another call from an Indian bloke claiming he was from some insurance firm. He just said that then said nothing else. I hung on listening for a few mins but he just dropped the line. I’ve blocked him. This company calls every day, and even after blocking every version of their number, they still keep ringing me.

My husband and me have been getting LOADS of calls from this number and others like it, sometimes multiple times a day. Most of the time, they hang up just as I pick up, but today I answered quick enough. A lady with an Indian accent said my first names and claimed she was calling about my Life Insurance. I told her I don't have any. She then said she never said I had Life Insurance. When I asked how she got my name and number, she just hung up on me. Next time (and there will be one), I’m planning to mention the Data Protection Act and that this number’s been reported several times.

this number called me a couple times today claiming they wanna send me a cheque for a car accident i was in. they used my old address and couldn’t even say who my insurance was with. when i asked for their info to verify, some indian guy said his name was david thomas (sounds dodgy to me!) and gave me this number to ring back, saying he was from accident management solutions. but i checked companies house and that company was dissolved ages ago. so yeah, total scam. just block and don’t share any info with them.

Claimed to be ami accident insurance, said someone reached out regarding a car accident i'd supposedly been in. I told him i dont have a car and he just said “thanks for your time”. Sounds like a legit firm, maybe acting as a go-between, but best to just block and ignore the number.
