Around 1.57pm, I got a call from a young lady called Kerry, who said she was ringing from a firm called Home Improvements. She spoke with a British accent and asked me to verify my name and address. Then she wanted to know if I owned the house and asked about my loft insulation. She then told me I qualified for a government-backed loft insulation scheme. I guessed she was working remotely from home. I told her I’m registered with the telephone preference service and that her company really shouldn’t be calling me. She said sorry, promised to take my info off their records, and assured me they wouldn’t ring me again.

Got a call from someone rabbiting on about “home upgrades” and some gov scheme for loft insulation. I just told her I’m not after anything from the government besides my taxes back. Total scam, pure rubbish.

Got a call from some woman going on about "Home improvements" and how I might qualify for a government scheme to get loft insulation done. I told her straight up I’m not interested in anything from the government unless they give me my taxes back first. Totally felt like a scam to me.

I already told them loud and clear yesterday that I'm not up for any driveway work, yet today, this same number rang me again. Fortunately, I wasn’t home when they called. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they try again from some other number. When I dialled 02039301713 back, it just gave me a 'number not in service' message - sounds like a fake number to me.

Then some other person phoned me up saying they wanted to post me a magazine full of special deals on driveways or something. I told him straight away I wasn't interested, but he kept going with his sales spiel. After telling him a second time I wasn't up for it, he finally stopped hassling me.
