Got a call from a bloke who said his name was "Mike" but had a pretty thick accent. He claimed to be from some company called Opcom or maybe Optcom, was hard to catch. He tried to sell me an upgrade to my "call-blocking service". When I asked more about it, all he did was keep saying "we block calls" over and over, then just suddenly hung up. I used 1471 to check the number, then tried the press 3 option which led to a recorded message asking me to choose between "billing", "sales" or "customer support". I just didn’t bother pressing anything after that.

Been getting calls from this number about some property development stuff. Also heard it's been linked to some call blocker scam lately. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from someone with a strong Indian accent claiming to be from BT. He said they were upgrading the phone’s spam protection service today. I didn’t let him go on, so no idea if he planned to ask for bank details or anything else. That same number had rung me a couple of days before but hung up as soon as I picked up.

Pretty clear it was a scam. There was no one talking, just that usual delay sound you get from call centres in India, and a bunch of noise going on in the background too.
