It seems that Magrathea Telecom has a bit of a reputation for dishing out phone numbers that scammers can use, allowing them to masquerade as UK numbers from any location. Chances are, this is yet another dodgy call. Just a word of caution - it’s highly likely this has been passed on by Magrathea themselves.

this number keeps ringing me and my phone flags it as spam, so i just ignore calls from numbers i dont know. feels a bit fishy if you ask me!

i got a call from some robot thing about a magazine or smth, i had no clue what it was about and the way the message came across felt kinda sketchy, so i figured it gotta be spam!

When I answered the phone, they just hung up without saying a word. Sounds like another spam call to me. Blocked them straight away on principle.

I checked the 020 3925 part of this phone number because it kept popping up in loads of scam and spam calls I’ve been getting. I came across this bit on Google about the 020 3925 range: “two UK firms, Magrathea Telecoms Ltd and Open Telecoms Intl Ltd, seem to be the main providers handing these numbers over to fraudsters.” This particular number links back to Magrathea Telecoms, so I'm pretty sure it’s one of those dodgy scam calls.
