Got a call from 02039928224 and they left a really scary voicemail. It was an automated woman speaking in a fake American accent, saying she was from HMRC and that I had to ring them back right away or else face lawyers if I didn’t reply. Classic scam trying to freak me out! No way am I falling for that. Heads up everyone - it looks like the call is coming from a local number, but it’s definitely not legit!

Got a call from some so called HMRC lot, but turns out its just some muppets from India trying to scam ya. When they ring, I just mess around with them, ask silly questions till they get annoyed. Then I just block n report the number straight away. Don’t fall for it!

Got a call earlier today from some automated voice sounding Asian, claiming to be HMRC - pretty clear that was a load of rubbish. Later on at about half past four, another ring came through. I picked up but stayed quiet, so the robot message didn’t kick in. They left a voicemail asking me to ring back. Total scam, no doubt about it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC. They were making all sorts of serious threats. The people involved called themselves Kareen Reed from the ‘legal team’ and Thomas Black!

I told them I missed a call from this number, then this Asian lady asked if there was any message left. I said there wasn’t, and when she wanted my name I said no. They've been leaving me loads of voicemails all week. I finally called back and some guy said it was from the tax office, claiming I owe £3000. He was threatening that if I don’t pay today, it’ll go to court and I’ll end up having to pay £19000, plus my benefits will be stopped and bailiffs will come to my house to take stuff. They even said they’d freeze my debit card. When I told him I didn’t have the cash, he offered a few hours to sort it out and promised to ring me back. But when I asked for any paperwork to show how I supposedly owe this tax, he said they can’t send anything in writing. Honestly, sounds like a proper scam to me.
