Phone number ☎️ 02039232191 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number impersonating HMRC, often using automated messages with threatening legal consequences related to unpaid tax. Callers typically urge victims to contact them or their solicitor immediately, employing intimidating tactics including references to court action or arrest. The voice is frequently described as robotic or American-accented, and genuine HMRC never makes such calls without prior written communication. Many have reported the calls to police and fraud authorities, and warn others to block the number and not to return calls as callbacks may connect to premium-rate lines designed to steal personal or financial information. This scam has caused distress, particularly among vulnerable individuals, and remains unprosecuted despite widespread awareness.

I received a rather mechanical voice on the other end, claiming to be Officer Sally Owens from the Inland Revenue. She insisted that the matter was urgent and warned that if I didn’t respond-personally or via my solicitor-I could expect some serious repercussions. I've taken the liberty of notifying the Inland Revenue about this incident.

Got a call from this number and it was clearly a scam. I heard a recorded voice from someone who said they were an officer, but I couldn't catch the name properly. They told me I owed back tax money and that if I didn’t pay right away, I might get arrested. They even told me to press a button to speak with an officer. I’m sure if I did, they’d just send me through to a pricey premium line. Definitely avoid!

I rang this number back by accident since I'd been doing night shifts and wasn’t really thinking straight. Ended up speaking to an Indian lady claiming to be from HMRC, telling me there was a court case against me and that I owed £3900. She said if it went to court, the debt would jump to £25,000. I told her to just send me the details in writing and that I’d be reporting them to the cops, because everyone keeps saying you should just block these numbers.

I tried calling the number back, and a guy picked up straight away without a single ring. He asked me for my name and postcode, then said he was Martin Bell with a kind of Indian accent, claiming they were looking into tax issues. I asked for their address, and they gave me a place in Westminster, which made me suspicious. I told him I’d call back later and then ended the call.

Once more, I've been getting those scam calls in the UK, threatening me with court over supposed tax issues and pushing me to get a lawyer. Isn't it about time Britain pulled itself together and fought back against this nasty crap that's taking over? Feels like we’re always the target and blamed for everything. The UK’s gotten way too soft. These fraudsters should be shut down straight away, especially when other countries seem to handle these problems much better than we do here.

So this number claiming to be from HMRC called me, saying I owed £4000 because of some fraud issue. They warned me they’d block my card in 30 minutes and cancel my insurance. Then they started asking about how much money I had in my bank, but I kept quiet. I told them, I'm only 19, why would I have £4000 in my account? They got all aggressive and told me to ask my parents. I said I don’t speak to them, and that's when they snapped, told me to “f#ck off and call the police”, then just hung up. Got a voicemail saying to ring back about HMRC, but no details given. Kinda fishy if you ask me. Didn’t recognise the number or anything. Might just hang up next time.

Got a creepy voicemail from an American lady that sounded really threatening. Please don’t follow any advice or instructions it gives. I reckon it might scare older folks or anyone who’s a bit vulnerable. Best thing to do? Just block the number straight away.
