Sounds proper serious, doesn’t it? Well, Sally, I reckon the best advice I can give you is to stick your little scam where the sun don’t shine. Ended up blocking the number straight away.

Got a call from what sounded like some sort of robot, left a voicemail saying it'd be on us if we didn’t return the call or if our lawyers didn’t get in touch. It was seriously scary, like a proper threat even though it was clear it wasn’t a real person.

I got a call from a robotic voice, sounded like a woman with an American accent. She said it was from HMRC and that my lawyer needed to get in touch because apparently I had a warrant out for owing them money. I just hung up straight away, blocked the number, and told my phone company’s phishing team about it.

Got a call from 02039232118 last night, same sort of scam. You'd think the police might be chasing these crooks, but maybe it’s just too complicated for them? I reckon the phone company should be held accountable too, like they’re helping these fraudsters by letting them use their lines. They’re just as responsible in my book.

I get calls from this number almost daily about energy deals. Sometimes I end up chatting with them for like 20 minutes just to mess about, but honestly, watch out - they're complete con artists trying to sneak info off your bank statements.

Got a call with a robotic voice saying it was Sally Owens from HMRC, warning me about some legal trouble. Definitely a scam. HMRC would never ring up like that. I work in the Civil Service myself and all my taxes come straight from my pay each month. I don’t have any other earnings. This kind of thing should be reported to the Ombudsman because it could seriously upset people who are vulnerable.

Got a call from a robotic voice saying it was Sally Owens from HMRC warning about legal trouble. It’s obviously a scam. HMRC never ring like this. I work in the public sector and all my tax comes straight outta my pay each month, I don’t earn any other money. This sort of thing should be reported to the Ombudsman because it can really upset vulnerable folk.

Got a recorded message on my answerphone from someone claiming to be from the Inland Revenue. They said I had to ring them back or there’d be serious trouble. It was obviously a scam but still, it's pretty unsettling to hear something like that, even if you know it’s not legit. I’ve blocked the number straight away.
