At first I marked them as just annoying, but now I’m giving them a dangerous rating because they actually deceive you into connecting them to accounts. They pretend it’s a supplier enquiry, asking for accounts payable, then launch into a sales pitch that never stops. They keep claiming they're not forex brokers. He says he’s calling for his mate Ben but hasn’t got a clue why or what the call is actually about. Every time I ask them to be clear and specific, they just can’t give me details. So there's these guys, John, James and Kieran, all from Orbis, calling our office non-stop about international payments and foreign currency purchases. We've told them multiple times to cut it out, but James said they just grab our info from some database that lists companies buying foreign currency and don’t even have their own calling list. Seriously, it wouldn't take more than a few seconds to add a note to their system and save everyone the hassle. Plus, they've been laughing at our staff when we begged them to leave us alone. Honestly, stay away from these lot!

I got a call from Orbis Foreign Exchange about an invoice they said hadn’t been settled. The bloke on the phone wouldn’t say much except he wanted to speak to someone in ‘accounts payable’ and kept mentioning an outstanding debt. When I asked what the debt was about, he got really annoyed and wouldn’t reveal which company he was from. After a while, he finally told me, then started arguing over how I handle payments to suppliers abroad. Honestly, not the best ambassador for his firm!

For the past couple of months, we’ve been getting calls from a bloke named John every single week, and it’s honestly becoming a bit much. Despite telling him outright that we aren’t interested, he just won’t take the hint. Got a call from someone called Sam at ORBIS Foreign Exchange, claiming to be some sort of FX 'expert' - basically, a bloke who can do sums. He got really rude and pushy when I said I couldn’t connect him to the right person. I’ve reported him to the TPS, but honestly, I’ve never heard back or seen any difference with these telemarketers bothering me.

He said he’d ring back later to talk with our finance boss, but when he called again, I asked him for the invoice number and he just said he’d get back with it. That was ages ago and still no sign of him. Really poor way to handle things, Orbis.
