You can tell it’s dodgy straight away when there’s that awkward silence before they say anything. I got a call today from someone claiming to be ‘Dave’ (as if). Received a call from someone who wanted to chat with the business owner. I mentioned that the owner was currently occupied in a meeting, and then they simply terminated the call without further ado.

Been getting loads of random calls from 0203 numbers like 0203 9170140, 0203 3421936, and 0203 084435. They say it’s about broadband, but it’s all unsolicited and totally ignoring the TPS registration on my phone. I’ve asked them over and over to stop and take me off their lists, but they just won’t stop ringing. It’s driving me mad!

Beware of XLN! They ring you up pretending they can cut your broadband bills if you share your info. Total con. First, they phoned me from 02045379956, and just half a minute later, another call came from 02039170140. You can literally hear other scammers chatting in the background like it’s some dodgy call centre. Honestly, they should just find real jobs instead of bothering everyone like this!

I've blocked this number since 19th Feb and they’ve rang me about 52 times since then.

It's pretty clear this was a call centre ringing. I put them on my block list, yet they still rang back around six times within just three minutes!

Got a call from this number but all I heard was silence. Pretty sure it’s one of those scam calls where a computer dials numbers automatically and if no one answers at their end, you just get dead air. No real evidence other than the silence, but based on past reports, I’m convinced it’s dodgy. Best to mark it as spam and steer clear.

I gotta say, this scam was pretty convincing, they knew heaps about me from a recent search I did on a broadband comparison site for business fibre. I kept grilling them, like “What’s this call for? Who exactly are you? Which company? Where are you based?” Since they didn’t stick to a usual script, they ended up spilling all the info they had - my name, my company details, the office address, phone number, everything. Eventually, they just ended the call.

Received a rather absurd message stating that our broadband would be terminated in the next day or so because of supposed unlawful activity, and the only way to halt it was to press 1. Honestly, what total rubbish! I've opted to block the number and be done with it!
