They ring me almost every week. When I pick up, there’s this awkward silence for a bit, then a bunch of noise in the background before it just cuts off. The caller says it’s from some company called XLN about phone services. Proper annoying, feels like a scam to me. If I ever wanted to switch providers, there’s no way it’d be with those lot!

I got a call at work, so I just kept chatting with them to waste about 10 minutes while I sorted out some emails. Told them to hang on a sec, then I redirected their call straight back to their own number. If what they were selling is really that great, maybe they can save some cash themselves lol. Proper timewasting scammers.

Some bloke rang me, saying he was from XLN and that he could knock more than £20 off my Virgin bill every month. I dragged the conversation out to waste his time and hopefully stop him from conning other folks.

Some guy with a strong Asian accent who called himself "Mike" said he worked for XLN Telecom and wanted to speak to the person running the business, claiming he could cut costs on phone calls. The number he called from was 02039170122. When I asked for his phone number so I could ring him back, he just kept going on about his great offers. After I asked once more, he eventually gave me 02036275004. They ring me every week and it’s really getting on my nerves! Honestly, I wish they’d stop wasting time calling like this!

Got a call from 0203 917 0122 on our work number right in the middle of something crucial. I tried to kindly tell them I wasn’t looking for their services, but they cut me off and hung up before I could finish what I was saying. It’s really annoying that even now, companies still behave like this.

I got a call at work from someone obviously trying to scam us, asking straight away to speak to the business owner. When I told them he wasn’t available and asked if I could take a message, they suddenly wanted his mobile number instead. I turned it around and asked if they’d give me their mobile number so I could pass it on. They just said, “Oh, very clever, aren’t you.” If this had been a genuine call, what’s so clever about that, I wonder?

Got a call from someone claiming to be with EDF, said I needed an upgraded meter. Told him I'd already had a new one put in a couple weeks back. He paused and goes, "Oh right, I can see that now, sorry for the bother!" Then he just said goodbye and ended the call.
