Some bloke rang and wanted to speak to my husband by name, then suddenly offered to send me 5 free lottery tickets. I agreed, but he never even asked where I live before I ended the call. Didn’t share any other details with him. Fingers crossed for me, eh? These scammers are really on the go today!

Received a call from a chap with a distinct northern twang, claiming I had bagged ten complimentary lottery lines. He was prying into how I might splurge the cash if fortune smiled upon me. This is the second time they’ve rung me, and it’s obvious they’re not above board. When I confronted him, he became rather irate. I've now blocked the number, good riddance!

Normally, I just let unknown calls ring out. If it’s really urgent, they’ll drop a voicemail, right? So I just don’t pick up numbers I don’t know.

So this number kept ringing me but I ignored it. Then they called right back straight away, and I just ignored again. This went on four times! Honestly, don’t they get it? Eventually, I called them from my landline since the call came from a private number. The bloke I spoke to seemed alright at first. But when I told him I was gonna verify what he said, he just hung up. Turns out, he was trying to get me involved in some sort of national lottery group. After looking into it, I can confirm there’s no legit syndicate - it’s a scam just to take your cash. Blocked and done with it.

Got a ring from someone saying I could have a free shot at the lottery. Then they started pushing this deal where you get like 260 tries for the cost of just 6! I ended the call straight away. Seemed dodgy to me!!

Got a ring from this number the other day. Some guy said he was calling from the National Lottery and actually used my name, which was pretty creepy and made me uneasy. He then told me I’d won 10 free entries in last Saturday’s draw. I just told him straight up, “Nah, you’re obviously a con artist.” He started swearing and being rude, so I just ended the call. Police should seriously track down these idiots and lock them up for good.

Received roughly half a dozen calls from this number within a couple of days. I finally picked up this morning, and some right numpty knew my name! Claimed to be from the National Lottery, trying to entice me with ten free entries for the Saturday draw. I wasn’t having any of it, and when I brushed him off, he got a bit tetchy. So, I politely told him to clear off. I urge everyone to stay vigilant; this is a dodgy call for sure. It's quite astonishing how neither the police nor BT ever seem to be able to track down the source of these unsolicited calls!
