Does anyone else have an idea who this might be? They rang me but left no voicemail at all. I don't get why a UK company would ring, not say anything and then just hang up. Feels like it could be some automated system just dialing random numbers or summat.

They've been ringing me repeatedly over the past few days. I ignored every call, but after seeing what others have said here, I've decided to block the number now.

Got a call from a young woman saying I had won free lottery tickets. She kept asking questions, trying to get me to respond with yes or no, which felt really dodgy. Didn’t trust it, so I just hung up.

Got a call from someone claiming I’d won 30 free lottery tickets, said they’d post them to me. Asked me what I’d do if I actually won, so I went along with it for a bit, like 5 minutes or so. Then suddenly she tells me I can sign up today and pay by direct debit. I just told her where to stick those tickets.

Just got a call telling me I’ve supposedly won some lottery - total scam, don’t fall for it!

This bloke had a thick northern accent and sounded proper intimidating, like he was just reading from some script. He kept saying I’d been picked for 10 free lottery entries or something daft like that. I told him I was about to join a meeting and couldn’t chat, but he kept pushing to ring me back later this week. After reading the comments here, I reckon I’ll just block the number. Using the lottery as a trick is really just pathetic, honestly.

I've blocked this number loads of times but it keeps coming through, really annoying.

Got a call saying I’d won some free lucky dips in the lottery and needed to confirm my address for the tickets to be posted in the next week or so. They also asked if I took part in the Wednesday and Friday draws. I kept my replies pretty vague and avoided sharing any personal details. Honestly, not sure what they hoped to gain from my answers. Anyway, I’ve blocked the number now so I don’t get hassled by them again.

So this was some dodgy lottery thing where they promised like a hundred tickets for the cost of five or something along those lines. Turns out it’s a total con where you’re thrown into a syndicate group, and any prize money gets sliced up between like 20 people - and that’s after the scammers take their share too. Proper scam if you ask me!

This number has been ringing me up like 4 times every day for the last few days. Since I don’t know who it is, I just ignore it and don’t pick up. They never leave a voicemail or anything, so I ended up blocking it. Saw what others said here too, cheers for the heads-up, definitely keeping it on block now.

Someone rang me pretending to be from the National Lottery, said I’d won 5 free tickets. They knew my name and where I live, which made me uneasy, but they wouldn’t share any more info. I’m not convinced it’s legit and will stay cautious because it feels dodgy to me.

I got a call from this really persistent bloke trying to give me free lottery tickets. I told him I wasn’t interested but he just kept going, asking why I wouldn’t want free tickets. It might fool some folks, but not me. I cut him off pretty quick, said goodbye, and hung up while he kept jabbering away. Honestly, if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.
